Michael Kirby was born and raised on the Civil War Battlefields of Manassas,Virginia. As a youth he attended and graduated from of Fork Union Military Academy where he was also a member of the National Champion Retan Rifles. After Graduation He entered the United States Army and served as a United States Infantry Paratrooper with the infamous 82nd Airborne Division in Fayetteville ,NC.

He attended Florida State University in Tallahassee Florida majoring in Asian Studies , and Japanese Language studies. After meeting and marrying his wife Liliana he relocated to Albuquerque New Mexico to give the Movie Industry a shot. After three years of persistence he achieved becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), and has since been successful as a Stunt Performer, and Bodyguard to A list Actor Laurence Fishburne.

In 2020 he officially opened Mountain Lion Jiu-jitsu Academy, and is fully dedicated to bring a lifetime of Martial Arts knowledge passed down to him from Master Jiu-jitsu Expert 5th degree Dustin “Clean” Denes
